1 week old breastfed baby...questions on BM's. What's "normal" at this age?

My breastfed son is 9 days old. ever since my milk came in, he's been having upwards of 8 or more small to moderate bowel movements a day. His poops are yellow, as is described to be normal at this point, but instead of it looking "seedy" what should be the seedy bits comes out somewhat thick ans stuck together. He grunts and squeals during a BM, and sometimes he cries just before. afterward, he's fine. I know he's not constipated, but is this normal behaviour with a 1 week old breastfed baby? My daughter was breastfed but she never had any problems when it came to poops.
